BrokenArrow Privacy Policy

Effective October 18, 2026. This policy covers BrokenArrow Golf Scoring and these BrokenArrow support pages.

Information on your iPhone

BrokenArrow stores player profiles, handicap inputs, saved courses and round scores locally. No BrokenArrow account is required. Optional course search does not upload your player profiles or round scores. Files you export may contain those details; you choose where to save or share them. Your device or document provider may include files in backups according to its settings.

Optional course search

When you submit a course search, your search text and selected course identifier are sent over HTTPS to our Cloudflare-hosted service. Uncached requests are forwarded to GolfCourseAPI. Do not enter personal or sensitive information in the course-search box. These requests are used to find courses, return scorecards and manage service availability, not to advertise to you.

Cache and retention

The service stores search queries, course identifiers and returned course data in a shared cache, not a per-user history. Search results can be reused for 15 minutes and course details for 24 hours. These periods describe freshness, not automatic deletion: entries can remain until replaced or removed during maintenance. A rolling request ledger enforces the shared allowance of 30 uncached provider requests per rolling 24 hours. The app does not attach a user account, player profile or unique installation identifier to course searches.

Service providers and network information

Cloudflare hosts the website and course-search service. GolfCourseAPI provides directory data. Network services process information needed to deliver and secure requests, which may include an IP address, request URL and browser or network metadata. Our course-search code does not store client IP addresses or location, and its application observability is disabled. Infrastructure providers may process operational information under their policies. See Cloudflare’s privacy policy and GolfCourseAPI’s privacy policy.

No advertising or tracking

BrokenArrow has no advertising SDK or cross-app tracking. It does not request contacts or continuous location access. These support pages contain no advertising, analytics scripts or support forms.

Your choices and deletion

You can use manual entry and saved courses without using online search. You can delete saved items in the app; deleting a course preserves its past round snapshots. Exported copies and device backups are managed separately wherever you saved them. If you email support, your email address and message are used to respond and retained as needed to resolve the request. Contact us for privacy or deletion requests. Because course caches are shared and not linked to users, we may need the relevant query or approximate date to investigate a request; please do not send unnecessary personal information.
